2020-2024 Planned Updates
Planned operations and improvements for 2020-2024
- Complete the 12” water main installation on Waller Rd E from Military Rd E to 173rd St E. This extension will provide water service and required fire flow for the new Bethel School District elementary school
- Construct Clarewood Booster Station 2 – upper zone backup booster pump station to provide redundancy in the upper pressure zone
- Install approximately 650 lf of 8” water main on 174th St E, east from 22nd Ave E
- Continue with ‘Replacement and Rehabilitation’ (R&R) program for ongoing replacement of AC water mains
- Recoat the interior and exterior of Tank #3
- Identify best location and secure permitting to construct a new well 11
- Construct an altitude control valve for Tank #1 operation
- Remove the existing sodium hydroxide pH treatment system at Well 3 and install aeration system
- Work with Lakewood Water District regarding the construction of the 12” water main required to connect to the LWD wholesale supply transmission main
- Continue to work with consultant for the improvements required to upgrade and provide continuity of all well site SCADA control systems
- Coordinate abandonment of multiple AC mains located within ‘overland’ easements
- Coordinate with meter supplier for the design and implementation of an ‘Automated Meter Reading’ (AMI) system
- Continue to seek additional primary water rights for new wells (may include surface water mitigation)
